Description
This Daisy model 104 double barrel was produced in Plymouth Michigan starting in 1938 to 1940 this model was produced without the safety window in the receiver for the first 2 or 3 weeks until the parts came in that had the safety window which makes this more rarer than all double barrel bbguns unless it is a salesman’s sample and the rarest of them all is the model 21 prototype and I have both of them 23 salesman samples were made and possibly only 2 prototype . This was the Great Depression years that ended in 1942 when we went to war these guns were mainly purchased to hunt small game . You could purchase one brand new for just a little more than a box of shot gun shells for approximately $6 . But that was 86 years ago. Not many was bought to play with. A nickel pack of bb’s would last a long time. When you could bring down a squirrel , rabbit or game bird with one or two bb’s . There was 45,822 produced in there production period. Thousands of air guns was give up by adults and children for metal drives for WW11 and what survived is very few now days. This gun is very collectible and shoots strong. The shipping on this gun would be $50
you must be 18 years of age to purchase any bbgun and live in a city or state where it is legal to purchase them
