This Red Ryder model was manufactured due to the interest in the film “A Christmas story “ similar to the standard B model but with a small compass in the first year and a sun dial on the left side of stock . Only two years 1983 & 1984 . First year compass was smaller than the next year which was larger . This one was the first year 1983 according to the lot number starting with a “3 “ . The next year starting with a “4” . We have no paper work or the blister pack . The 84 model was put in a box although I have seen some 84’s in the blister pack and I believe some 84’s to use up already printed material until the boxes for the 84 was available. This gun shows very little use and is a good 95percent new condition. Very nice collectible unless you are a diehard original papers and packaging person . If original papers and blister packaging unopened would easily sell for $400 .
