Description
This Daisy model 40 military is the variant 2 fixed front site, standard model 25 shot tube . Produced from 1919 thru 1932 in Plymouth Michigan. Original bayonet that had been shortened approximately an inch and a half for what reason is unknown . Speculation is that it was shortened when sharpened but has been replaced with a piece of tubing to the right length as shown in the picture. This gun has been resealed with leather seals . Shoots strong. Has been reblued, the ruff old finish on the stock has been removed and stock has been treated with lemon oil . It looks as tho it has the original sling and hanging brackets . This is a nice gun even tho it had some restoration work . It is extremely rare to find one with the original bayonet in any condition collectible . The shipping on this gun would be $40
